In spite of all the save the turtles bumper stickers, animal friend decals and ocean friend wristbands we are inundated by I am constantly horrified by people's actions on the beach, hiking trails, the mountains, really anywhere in nature. Everyday I walk the beaches here and I find plastic toys, plastic bags, inflatables, plastic drink pouches (the ones with the plastic straws in them), plastic and Styrofoam cups laying on top of the sand. Even worse is the amount of buried trash like: beer/soda cans, buried wine bottles, abandoned beach towels, boogie boards and clothing that gets covered by beach sand, even broken kayaks left in the shall

Finally got some action on repairs woohoo! At about 90% complete for my place and feeling MUCH better about the world, lol. I have been trying to hit up some of the local springs, but so many had enormous damage from the hurricane, it may be months before they can re-open. The State has embarked on replanting 200,000 trees to replace those lost, I like that idea.
